The story of how Ring City got our name is a bit of a murky one. The league began in Greenville, North Carolina and supposedly there was a “ring” drawn around the city to encompass all the surrounding towns and areas where members of the team hailed from. Now our league is a very central one for many surrounding towns, and we have girls that join us from various towns and cities. Regardless of how we got our name, Ring City is a welcoming and fun league and we encourage anyone in eastern North Carolina to come out and join us.
RCR is a working towards becoming a non-profit organization, so the dollars we raise go right back into the organization to pay for our operating expenses. Our skaters not only pay for their own gear, we also pay monthly dues to help keep our organization financially sound.
If you can't support us as a sponsor, and want to help in addition to attending our events, make a donation today to support women's roller derby in Eastern North Carolina! With your help, we'll keep the hits coming!
